Privacy Policy

Effective date: · Version 1.7
Developer:蔡宏勋

Game Emulator primarily handles its library and gameplay on your device and does not require a Game Emulator account. System file services and advanced online features you enable involve different data practices, explained below. Google advertising and privacy-choice services also process information as described below.

On this page

1. Scope and developer

This policy covers the Game Emulator iOS/iPadOS app provided by 蔡宏勋 (the “developer,” “we” or “us”). This version has no developer-operated account system, game-data backend or automatic feedback upload service. Contact: caihongx2026@outlook.com.

This policy describes the current app. Third-party websites, file providers and online services you configure have their own data practices.

2. Data processed on your device

To import and run games, restore progress and remember settings, the app stores:

This version has no feature that sends game files or play-history data to advertising services. System backups, sharing and advanced online features are separate, as described below.

Built-in games also store their current board, level, score and local best score on the device so you can resume and see local records. There is no online leaderboard. Restart replaces the current round; it does not erase existing play history or best scores.

3. Advertising

Game Emulator uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads may appear on a startup loading screen, as banners on non-game app pages, and as interstitials after you explicitly leave a game. Ads do not cover gameplay. First-use tutorials, slow or failed loads, privacy requirements and frequency limits may cause an ad to be skipped. Ads are not required to save progress or to leave a game.

UMP contacts Google at launch to update the applicable privacy requirements and consent status. Where required, it displays a privacy message before ad requests are allowed. You can reopen the available privacy options from Settings → Ads and Privacy. If consent status cannot be established, the app skips ads unless UMP confirms a previously valid status. Withdrawing or changing a choice invalidates cached ads; your choice applies to future requests and does not undo processing already performed.

The advertising and consent SDKs may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, SDK/device identifiers available under system and consent restrictions, diagnostic/performance information, consent choices, and ad impressions or interactions. Google uses data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and managing privacy choices. We request non-personalized ads and disable publisher first-party ID. On first launch, if the system has not recorded a choice, the app requests Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before loading ads. With your permission and any other applicable consent, the Google advertising SDK may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure advertising and limit repeated ads. IDFA is not used without authorization, when permission is denied, or when tracking is restricted. Refusing does not restrict gameplay. You can change your choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The system does not repeat the prompt after a decision or when requests are disabled. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing; they do not mean anonymous or offline advertising.

We do not attach imported game files, ROM names or display aliases, saves or play history to ad requests. This does not prevent the SDK from processing the app/device and ad-interaction information described above. Production builds use the developer’s AdMob placements; development builds use Google’s official test placements, which do not generate revenue and still require network access.

Google handles data under its own terms and retention practices, which may involve processing outside your country. Local deletion cannot delete information already received by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Contact us at caihongx2026@outlook.com for questions or to identify the relevant privacy-request channel.

4. Online features you choose to enable

Local import and play require no developer account. Netplay, remote resource updates, cloud sync, achievements and AI translation in the advanced RetroArch menu are off by default. Availability depends on the build, core and service. Once you enable or configure them, the engine or core can connect directly to the relevant service.

These are third-party accounts, not Game Emulator accounts. Read the service’s notices, check sync folders and permissions, and connect only to providers you trust. Disable the feature, sign out or remove credentials in advanced settings to stop future use. Doing so does not automatically delete previously received data.

5. Files and optional system permissions

The system file picker lets the app read files or folders you select. iCloud Drive or another file provider may download them over the network first. When you export or share, the recipient app, device or service handles the selected content under its own rules.

Some games or cores support camera or microphone input. Discovering local netplay participants may request local-network access. Controllers may use system Bluetooth or game-controller support. Access occurs only as needed for the relevant feature and as allowed by the system, respecting its authorization. Prompts depend on iOS, the device and the feature.

Manage available permissions in iOS/iPadOS Settings. Refusing a permission affects features that need it, not unrelated local features. Ordinary library use does not require contacts or precise location.

6. Third parties, sharing and backups

We have no developer backend for selling library, save or play-history data and no built-in developer analytics upload service. Third-party processing mainly concerns online features, system backups, file providers, sharing recipients and support email you choose to send.

Advertising and consent processing by Google is described in the Advertising section above.

Your device settings may include app data in iCloud or computer backups. Deleting an app file does not delete its backups or original source. Manage those separately with the relevant service. See Apple’s iCloud backup explanation.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments you choose to provide, to reply, troubleshoot and address your request. Email providers also process the message. Avoid unnecessary personal information, passwords or ROMs you cannot distribute. Where disclosure of information we hold is legally required, we handle it under applicable law.

7. Retention and deletion

Local games, saves, preferences and history generally remain until you delete the relevant content, app data or app. This version has no universal automatic expiry for local records. The engine or system may manage cache and diagnostic files separately.

Support email is kept for the period needed to handle the request, necessary follow-up or applicable legal obligations. Third-party providers set their own retention and deletion practices; we cannot promise immediate deletion by them.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

Settings → Ads and Privacy provides applicable advertising privacy choices. Those choices may affect the type or availability of ads; they do not require a purchase or prevent local gameplay.

You can disable online features, revoke system permissions, manage backups, delete local content or stop using the app. Withdrawing a choice does not undo processing that has already occurred.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, a portable copy, or a complaint to a regulator. Send requests to caihongx2026@outlook.com. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and seek identity verification only when necessary.

We cannot remotely access games or saves on your device or directly perform deletion for Apple or another provider. We can explain local steps or the relevant third-party channels.

9. Security and international processing

App sandboxing, controlled file paths and system permissions help reduce unintended access. No device, software, backup or network can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device credentials and back up important saves before deleting or updating.

When you enable online services or cloud files, or send email, the relevant provider may process data outside your country or region. Locations, recipients and safeguards depend on the service; consult its policy. Related data may therefore leave your device through these features.

10. Children and guardians

Game Emulator is not designed specifically for children, does not request a date of birth and has no identity or age-verification system. Users below the local age for consenting to data processing should use it with a guardian’s guidance. Guardians should carefully manage online features, sharing and permissions.

This version has no verified parental-consent flow. If you believe a child sent us inappropriate personal information, contact caihongx2026@outlook.com so we can address it under applicable law.

11. Updates and external links

This document and its language links work offline. These pages load no remote fonts, analytics scripts or tracking pixels and set no web cookies. Following an external link or viewing a hosted copy may give the browser, destination or hosting provider network-request information under its own policy.

We may update this policy as features, third-party services or laws change, and revise its effective date. Material changes will be highlighted appropriately in the app. New authorization or consent will be obtained separately where required. See also the Terms of Use.
